About CargoScreen.
An independent product built to turn EU tariff and sanctions rules into a verdict you can defend.
What CargoScreen is
CargoScreen turns a commodity code and a route into a clear compliance verdict — green, conditional or stop — with the source regulation attached and a dated audit trail.
Why we built it
One HS code can sit in three sanctions annexes at once, each with different conditions. The tariff browser doesn't know about sanctions. The sanctions text doesn't know about your route. And the liability doesn't sit on the shipper who handed you the code — it sits on the broker who signs the declaration and the forwarder who moves the box.
That grey zone is where fines, seizures and demurrage happen. We built CargoScreen because no existing tool answers ‘can I ship this, on this route, today?’ with the regulation attached.
How we work
Primary sources only
TARIC daily distribution, EUR-Lex consolidated texts of Regulation 833/2014 and 765/2006, and the Common High Priority List.
Every verdict cites its source
No verdict without the regulation behind it. You can click through to the article we based the answer on.
Snapshot every check
Each screening is stored as a dated PDF — what the rule said on the day of your shipment.
Aggregators only for cross-check
Where a source is only a secondary aggregator, we use it to double-check — never as the basis of a verdict.
